How does a gravimetric mixer work?

The gravimetric mixer is mainly composed of a weighing system and a mixing system. The weighing system utilizes high-precision sensors and control systems to achieve accurate weighing of each ingredient. When the required weight of the material is set, the weighing system automatically calculates and dispenses the corresponding amount of material. Subsequently, the mixing system uses spiral stirring technology to evenly mix different kinds of raw materials.

Blending and Dosing Applications

The gravimetric mixers are widely used in plastic injection, extrusion or blow molding processes that require accurate mixing of multiple materials in proportion. In addition, it is suitable for plastics manufacturing when different materials are included such as regrinds and colorants.

1. The controller can save up to 50 sets of data. Different blending requirements and recipes can be stored and organized easily.

2. Compatible with different injection molding machines and extruders’ signals and power requirement.

3. A material detector can be added. When material shortage occurs, the detector would trigger the alarm for material fulfillment.

4. The metering gate is suitable for percentages that are equal to or higher than 5%. The mixing ratio’s margin of error can be controlled to within 0.3% to 0.5%.

5. The weighing system is suitable for ratios between 4.99% to 0.5%. The mixing ratio has a margin of error of ± 2%.
